The Madison County Sheriff’s Office has confirmed the arrest of 21-year-old Jahree Daiquan Williams in connection with the fatal shooting of 26-year-old Taylor Boldosser North. The tragic incident occurred on February 1, 2024, at the Circle K convenience store located at 1006 Harvest Road.

Deputies responded to reports of a shooting at the location and arrived to find an unresponsive female victim suffering from a gunshot wound.

The victim, later identified as Taylor Boldosser North, was an employee of the business and was on duty at the time of the shooting.

Despite life-saving efforts, she was pronounced dead at the scene.

According to witness accounts, a male suspect entered the store, approached the counter, and shot the clerk without provocation.

Sheriff’s deputies quickly established a perimeter and located the suspect, Jahree Daiquan Williams, a short distance from the crime scene.

He was detained without incident and transported to the Criminal Investigations Division (CID) for questioning.

Following the interview, Williams was formally charged with murder and booked into the Madison County Jail Facility.

In a statement, Sheriff Kevin Turner expressed his condolences to the victim’s family, saying, “We are deeply saddened by this tragic loss. Our thoughts and prayers are with the North family during this incredibly difficult time. We are committed to pursuing justice and providing the family with the closure they deserve.”

The investigation remains active, and authorities are continuing to gather evidence and interview witnesses.

Suspect in custody after shooting at Meridian Mall

MERIDIAN TOWNSHIP, Mich. – Authorities have confirmed that a suspect is in custody following a shooting incident at the Meridian Mall on Friday afternoon.

As a result, the lockdown at the mall has been lifted.

The Meridian Township Police Department issued a public advisory just before 2:00 p.m., urging residents and shoppers to avoid the area near the Dick’s Sporting Goods entrance while officers conducted an active investigation at the scene.

At this time, police have not released specific details regarding the nature of the shooting, including whether anyone was injured or the circumstances surrounding the suspect’s arrest.

Law enforcement officials continue to investigate the incident and are expected to provide additional information as it becomes available.

The public is asked to remain clear of the immediate area to allow for the ongoing investigation.
