Rita Marie shot and killed at QuikTrip gas station in St. Louis
The St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department is investigating a fatal shooting that occurred Thursday afternoon at a QuikTrip gas station in the city. The victim has been identified as Rita Marie.
Officers responded to reports of gunfire around 5:00 p.m. in the 900 block of South Vandeventer Avenue.
Upon arrival, they discovered a woman suffering from critical gunshot wounds.
Despite life-saving efforts by first responders, the victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
Authorities have not released any information regarding potential suspects or a motive behind the shooting.

MERIDIAN TOWNSHIP, Mich. – Authorities have confirmed that a suspect is in custody following a shooting incident at the Meridian Mall on Friday afternoon.
As a result, the lockdown at the mall has been lifted.
