Forest Hill Police to Hold Press Conference on Double Murder Investigation
FOREST HILL, Texas – Authorities in Forest Hill are set to hold a press conference today regarding a tragic double homicide that claimed the lives of a North Texas father and his young daughter.
The shooting, which occurred in broad daylight on Monday afternoon, left 30-year-old Ronnie Sibley and his 5-year-old daughter, R’mani Sibley, dead.
Police have identified two suspects who remain at large.
On Tuesday, city officials and community leaders gathered to address the alarming crime, though law enforcement has yet to release new details about the ongoing investigation.
Meanwhile, makeshift memorials with condolence tokens were placed outside Slappy’s Car Wash on Forest Hill Drive, where the fatal shooting occurred.
The business remains temporarily closed, with a Fort Worth police officer stationed at the scene.
Surveillance images show two armed men believed to be responsible for the attack. Authorities say the suspects fled in a white Kia following the shooting.
According to investigators, R’mani was fatally shot while inside a maroon Dodge Challenger.
Her father, Ronnie Sibley, also leaves behind a 12-year-old daughter, now grieving the loss of both her father and younger sister.
This double homicide marks the fourth and fifth murders in Forest Hill this year.
In contrast, the city reported zero homicides throughout 2024.
The investigation remains ongoing, and authorities urge anyone with information to come forward.
MERIDIAN TOWNSHIP, Mich. – Authorities have confirmed that a suspect is in custody following a shooting incident at the Meridian Mall on Friday afternoon.
As a result, the lockdown at the mall has been lifted.
The Meridian Township Police Department issued a public advisory just before 2:00 p.m., urging residents and shoppers to avoid the area near the Dick’s Sporting Goods entrance while officers conducted an active investigation at the scene.
At this time, police have not released specific details regarding the nature of the shooting, including whether anyone was injured or the circumstances surrounding the suspect’s arrest.
