27-year-old Daniel Nobile accused of shooting at golfers on Jupiter Abacoa golf course

JUPITER, FL – A man has been charged with four counts of attempted second-degree murder after allegedly firing multiple shots at golfers at the Abacoa Golf Club on Tuesday evening, according to an arrest report released by the Jupiter Police Department.
The suspect, identified as 27-year-old Daniel Nobile, is accused of opening fire on a group of four individuals who were playing on hole three of the golf course around 6:00 p.m.
Officers responded quickly to the scene following multiple reports of gunfire.
According to the probable cause affidavit, the golfers stated that the shots came from the backyard of a residence located across a lake from their position on the course.
After firing, the suspect was seen retreating into the house.
One of the victims initially believed the loud bangs were fireworks until he noticed a man—later identified as Nobile—walking along the back of the home holding what appeared to be a handgun aimed in their direction.
All four golfers, who said they had no prior contact or known history with Nobile, immediately fled the area in golf carts and contacted authorities.
None of the victims were injured.
As police investigated, they made contact with a family friend who had received a panicked phone call from Nobile’s sister, describing loud noises and expressing fear.
When the friend arrived at the residence and spoke with Nobile, he reportedly claimed that “everything was fine.”
Police later interviewed Nobile’s parents, who confirmed that a firearm was present in the home.
A black Glock 17 handgun was recovered from the garage, wrapped in cloth and hidden, according to the affidavit.
Nobile was taken into custody without incident and appeared before a judge on Wednesday.
The court ordered no bond pending the outcome of a mental health evaluation.
The next court hearing is scheduled for June 10.
Jupiter Police Chief provided a statement emphasizing the seriousness of the incident and praised the swift response of officers that ensured no one was physically harmed during the shooting.
The investigation remains active.
