20-year-old Naomi Oglesby killed in Wichita shooting

WICHITA, KS — A 20-year-old woman is dead following an early morning shooting on Sunday in central Wichita, according to the Wichita Police Department.

At approximately 4:28 a.m., officers were dispatched to the 700 block of South Laura Avenue in response to a report of a shooting.

Upon arrival, officers located a female victim, identified as Naomi Oglesby, suffering from life-threatening gunshot wounds.

She was transported to a nearby hospital, where she was later pronounced deceased.

At the scene, officers also located and detained the suspect, identified as 19-year-old Matthew Wayne Criscenzo.

Authorities confirmed that the suspect and victim were known to each other, though the specific nature of their relationship has not yet been disclosed.

The Wichita Police Department has confirmed that this remains an active and ongoing investigation.

No further details regarding the circumstances leading up to the shooting have been released at this time.

Suspect in custody after shooting at Meridian Mall

MERIDIAN TOWNSHIP, Mich. – Authorities have confirmed that a suspect is in custody following a shooting incident at the Meridian Mall on Friday afternoon.

As a result, the lockdown at the mall has been lifted.

The Meridian Township Police Department issued a public advisory just before 2:00 p.m., urging residents and shoppers to avoid the area near the Dick’s Sporting Goods entrance while officers conducted an active investigation at the scene.

At this time, police have not released specific details regarding the nature of the shooting, including whether anyone was injured or the circumstances surrounding the suspect’s arrest.

Law enforcement officials continue to investigate the incident and are expected to provide additional information as it becomes available.
