26-year-old Kiera Campbell killed in Montgomery shooting

MONTGOMERY, Ala. – Authorities have launched a homicide investigation following a fatal shooting that occurred early Sunday morning in Montgomery, police confirmed.
According to a spokesperson for the Montgomery Police Department, officers responded to reports of a shooting in the 3300 block of Royal Carriage Drive at approximately 3:00 a.m.
Upon arrival, they discovered a woman suffering from a gunshot wound.
The victim, identified on Monday as 26-year-old Ki’era Campbell, was pronounced dead at the scene by responding medical personnel.
At this time, police have not released further details regarding the circumstances of the shooting, including possible suspects or a motive.
Investigators are continuing to gather evidence and interview witnesses as the case remains active.

Suspect in custody after shooting at Meridian Mall

MERIDIAN TOWNSHIP, Mich. – Authorities have confirmed that a suspect is in custody following a shooting incident at the Meridian Mall on Friday afternoon.
As a result, the lockdown at the mall has been lifted.
The Meridian Township Police Department issued a public advisory just before 2:00 p.m., urging residents and shoppers to avoid the area near the Dick’s Sporting Goods entrance while officers conducted an active investigation at the scene.
At this time, police have not released specific details regarding the nature of the shooting, including whether anyone was injured or the circumstances surrounding the suspect’s arrest.
