CHICAGO — Chicago police are investigating a triple shooting that left two men dead and another injured early Saturday morning, May 11, in the city’s Edgewater neighborhood.

Officers with the Chicago Police Department responded to reports of gunfire around 1:20 a.m. in the 6300-block of North Broadway, near the intersection of Broadway and Rosemont Avenue.

Upon arrival, police discovered three male victims, each suffering from gunshot wounds.

A 28-year-old man who sustained multiple gunshot wounds to the body was transported to St. Francis Hospital, where he was pronounced deceased a short time later.

A second victim, a 31-year-old man, was shot in the chest and taken to Weiss Memorial Hospital, where he was also pronounced dead.

While authorities have not officially released the identities of the deceased, local reports and social media sources indicate that one of the victims may be Chicago rapper Munna Duke, a well-known artist associated with the O’Block community.

Another man reportedly killed alongside him is said to be O’Block Younggin, though these identifications have not yet been confirmed by the medical examiner.

A third victim, a 36-year-old man, sustained a gunshot wound to the back and was transported to Evanston Hospital, where he is currently listed in fair condition.

Due to the ongoing investigation, CTA temporarily rerouted #36 Broadway buses in both directions but has since restored normal service after the police perimeter was lifted.

As of Saturday morning, no suspects have been taken into custody and a motive has not yet been disclosed.

Area detectives are actively investigating, and authorities are urging anyone with information to contact Chicago Police or submit anonymous tips to CPD’s tip line.
