3 Injured in Shooting During UC Davis Picnic Day

Davis, CA – Authorities responded to a shooting incident at Community Park in Davis on Saturday afternoon, where three individuals were wounded during a public gathering organized by a campus-affiliated group as part of UC Davis’ Picnic Day celebrations.
The shooting occurred during a well-attended event that drew hundreds of participants to the park.
According to Police, no fatalities have been reported, and the victims — described as young adults or juveniles — sustained non-life-threatening injuries.
All three were treated by emergency personnel at the scene and later transported by ambulance for further medical attention.
The pickup location was near the Davis Little League field.
Witnesses at the scene described hearing a series of popping sounds, initially believed to be fireworks, before realizing gunfire had erupted.
The suspect reportedly fled westward from the area immediately after the shooting.

In response to the incident, F Street south of Covell Boulevard has been temporarily shut down, and traffic is being rerouted to allow emergency crews and investigators access to the scene.

Suspect in custody after shooting at Meridian Mall

MERIDIAN TOWNSHIP, Mich. – Authorities have confirmed that a suspect is in custody following a shooting incident at the Meridian Mall on Friday afternoon.
As a result, the lockdown at the mall has been lifted.
The Meridian Township Police Department issued a public advisory just before 2:00 p.m., urging residents and shoppers to avoid the area near the Dick’s Sporting Goods entrance while officers conducted an active investigation at the scene.
At this time, police have not released specific details regarding the nature of the shooting, including whether anyone was injured or the circumstances surrounding the suspect’s arrest.
