Tucson Police Identify 24-Year-Old Trevyiente Anthony Smith-Henry as Victim in Fatal Shooting Outside Burger King

The Tucson Police Department (TPD) has identified the victim of a fatal shooting that took place late Wednesday night near Golf Links and Kolb Road.
Officers responded to the area around 11:45 p.m. on April 2, where they discovered 24-year-old Trevyiente Anthony Smith-Henry suffering from gunshot wounds.
Despite emergency efforts, Smith-Henry was pronounced dead at the scene.
The shooting occurred outside a Burger King restaurant, though authorities have not yet determined a motive or identified any suspects.
Detectives continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident and are seeking any information that may help lead to an arrest.
Following the shooting, Burger King released a statement expressing condolences to the victim’s loved ones and affirming its commitment to supporting its employees during this difficult time.
“We were deeply saddened to hear of this tragic incident, and our hearts go out to the family, coworkers, and friends of the victim. The Franchisee of this location is working with local police and facilitating access to support services for Team Members of this restaurant. The Franchisee will continue to review their security and safety practices to ensure the safety and well-being of Team Members, and they are being offered the support they need in this difficult time.”

Suspect in custody after shooting at Meridian Mall

MERIDIAN TOWNSHIP, Mich. – Authorities have confirmed that a suspect is in custody following a shooting incident at the Meridian Mall on Friday afternoon.
As a result, the lockdown at the mall has been lifted.
The Meridian Township Police Department issued a public advisory just before 2:00 p.m., urging residents and shoppers to avoid the area near the Dick’s Sporting Goods entrance while officers conducted an active investigation at the scene.
At this time, police have not released specific details regarding the nature of the shooting, including whether anyone was injured or the circumstances surrounding the suspect’s arrest.
