25-year-old Kanivia Howard killed in Wyoming shooting, suspect in custody
A woman was tragically killed in a shooting incident that occurred on Sunday afternoon in Wyoming.
The Wyoming Police Department responded to a call reporting gunfire near 36th Street and Blue Bird Avenue at approximately 12:40 PM.
Upon arrival, officers discovered a 25-year-old woman who had sustained multiple gunshot wounds.
Despite being transported to the hospital for emergency treatment, she succumbed to her injuries.
Victim has been identified as 25-year-old Kanivia Howard.
A suspect has been taken into custody, but their identity has not been publicly released.

MERIDIAN TOWNSHIP, Mich. – Authorities have confirmed that a suspect is in custody following a shooting incident at the Meridian Mall on Friday afternoon.
As a result, the lockdown at the mall has been lifted.
The Meridian Township Police Department issued a public advisory just before 2:00 p.m., urging residents and shoppers to avoid the area near the Dick’s Sporting Goods entrance while officers conducted an active investigation at the scene.
