26-year-old Jamie Guadagno killed in Dayton shooting

Authorities have identified the 26-year-old woman who was fatally shot on Tuesday night, March 26, 2024, on Troy Street in Dayton.

The victim, Jamie Guadagno, was pronounced dead at Miami Valley Hospital, according to Montgomery County Coroner Dr. Kent Harshbarger.

At approximately 9:00 p.m., officers with the Dayton Police Department responded to reports of a shooting in the 600 block of Troy Street.

Upon arrival, they discovered Guadagno suffering from gunshot wounds and immediately provided medical assistance at the scene, according to Dayton Police Lt. Eric Sheldon.

Emergency medical personnel transported Guadagno to Miami Valley Hospital, where she ultimately succumbed to her injuries.

The Dayton Police Department Homicide Unit has taken over the investigation.

At this time, no suspect information has been released, and authorities continue to gather evidence to determine the circumstances surrounding the shooting.

Suspect in custody after shooting at Meridian Mall

MERIDIAN TOWNSHIP, Mich. – Authorities have confirmed that a suspect is in custody following a shooting incident at the Meridian Mall on Friday afternoon.

As a result, the lockdown at the mall has been lifted.

The Meridian Township Police Department issued a public advisory just before 2:00 p.m., urging residents and shoppers to avoid the area near the Dick’s Sporting Goods entrance while officers conducted an active investigation at the scene.

At this time, police have not released specific details regarding the nature of the shooting, including whether anyone was injured or the circumstances surrounding the suspect’s arrest.

Law enforcement officials continue to investigate the incident and are expected to provide additional information as it becomes available.
