One Dead, Another Injured in Homewood Shooting
PITTSBURGH, PA – Authorities are investigating a fatal shooting that occurred Friday night inside a residence on Mt. Vernon Street in Homewood.
According to the Pittsburgh Public Safety Department, officers responded to reports of gunfire at a residential property.
Upon arrival, officers discovered a male victim deceased from a gunshot wound to the back.
A second individual, who also sustained gunshot wounds, was found at the scene and transported to a local hospital by paramedics.
Officials report that the victim remains in critical condition.
Authorities have two individuals in custody for questioning, but no arrests have been confirmed at this time.
Homicide detectives continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the shooting, including any potential motive or relationship between the involved parties.

MERIDIAN TOWNSHIP, Mich. – Authorities have confirmed that a suspect is in custody following a shooting incident at the Meridian Mall on Friday afternoon.
As a result, the lockdown at the mall has been lifted.
The Meridian Township Police Department issued a public advisory just before 2:00 p.m., urging residents and shoppers to avoid the area near the Dick’s Sporting Goods entrance while officers conducted an active investigation at the scene.
