Baltimore County, MD – March 2025 – A 16-year-old Lansdowne High School student was fatally shot Tuesday afternoon outside a liquor store near the school, prompting a police investigation and precautionary school lockdown, according to Baltimore County Police Chief Robert McCullough.

The incident occurred shortly after 2:30 p.m. in the 3900 block of Hollins Ferry Road, near Kings Liquors.

Authorities report that the suspect approached the victim, opened fire, and then fired additional shots after the victim collapsed before fleeing the scene in a vehicle.

The victim, who was absent from school that day, attempted to flee toward Lansdowne High School but was critically injured.

He was transported to a local hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
