Sacramento Teen Killed, Six Others Injured in Woodland Hills House Party Shooting

Woodland Hills, CA – February 9, 2025 – A 16-year-old Sacramento teenager was fatally shot, and six others were wounded during a violent incident at a house party in Southern California, according to the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD).
The shooting occurred at approximately 1:30 a.m. at a residence in Woodland Hills, a neighborhood in the San Fernando Valley.
Responding officers arrived to find a male victim lying on the driveway with a gunshot wound.
Despite immediate life-saving efforts at the scene, the victim succumbed to his injuries.
The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s Office later identified the deceased as 16-year-old Sah’dell Roberts, a student from the Twin Rivers Unified School District in Sacramento.
Following confirmation of Roberts’ passing, the Twin Rivers Unified School District issued a statement mourning the loss of their student:
“Words cannot express the profound sadness we feel at the loss of one of our students in a senseless act of violence. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family during this incredibly difficult time. Please know that the District’s Crisis Intervention Team is available to our students and staff in the wake of this tragedy. We are committed to providing the care and assistance they may need during this time of mourning.”
According to LAPD investigators, the shooting unfolded as a bouncer or security guard was in the process of escorting the suspect out of the home.
As they reached the first floor, the suspect suddenly opened fire toward the dance floor, causing chaos as partygoers attempted to flee.
The suspect immediately fled the scene and remains at large.
Law enforcement is actively searching for the individual and has urged anyone with information to come forward.
In addition to Roberts, six other individuals sustained gunshot wounds during the incident.
All victims were transported to nearby hospitals for medical treatment. Their conditions have not been publicly disclosed.
The Los Angeles Police Department is continuing its investigation into the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
Authorities have not yet released a description of the suspect, and the motive remains unclear.

Suspect in custody after shooting at Meridian Mall

MERIDIAN TOWNSHIP, Mich. – Authorities have confirmed that a suspect is in custody following a shooting incident at the Meridian Mall on Friday afternoon.
As a result, the lockdown at the mall has been lifted.
The Meridian Township Police Department issued a public advisory just before 2:00 p.m., urging residents and shoppers to avoid the area near the Dick’s Sporting Goods entrance while officers conducted an active investigation at the scene.
At this time, police have not released specific details regarding the nature of the shooting, including whether anyone was injured or the circumstances surrounding the suspect’s arrest.
Law enforcement officials continue to investigate the incident and are expected to provide additional information as it becomes available.
The public is asked to remain clear of the immediate area to allow for the ongoing investigation.
