21-year-old man killed in Albany shooting

Albany, NY – The Albany Police Department is actively investigating a fatal shooting that occurred in the early hours of Monday, February 10, 2025.
At approximately 1:40 a.m., officers responded to reports of an unresponsive male in the 200 block of Yates Street, near South Lake Avenue.
Upon arrival, they discovered a 21-year-old man suffering from a gunshot wound to the head.
Emergency medical personnel provided immediate treatment at the scene before transporting the victim to Albany Medical Center, where he was later pronounced deceased.
Authorities have not yet released the identity of the victim or any details regarding potential suspects.

Suspect in custody after shooting at Meridian Mall

MERIDIAN TOWNSHIP, Mich. – Authorities have confirmed that a suspect is in custody following a shooting incident at the Meridian Mall on Friday afternoon.
As a result, the lockdown at the mall has been lifted.
The Meridian Township Police Department issued a public advisory just before 2:00 p.m., urging residents and shoppers to avoid the area near the Dick’s Sporting Goods entrance while officers conducted an active investigation at the scene.
At this time, police have not released specific details regarding the nature of the shooting, including whether anyone was injured or the circumstances surrounding the suspect’s arrest.
