Metro Nashville Police Respond to Large Disturbance at Opry Mills Mall, No Evidence of shooting
Metro Nashville Police Department (MNPD) and Nashville Fire Department (NFD) are actively investigating an incident at Opry Mills Mall following reports of a large altercation that prompted a mass evacuation of the shopping center.
The incident occurred when a fight reportedly broke out inside the mall, causing panic among shoppers and leading to a rushed exodus from the premises.
Responding officers arrived swiftly at the scene to secure the area and assess the situation.
Contrary to circulating rumors, MNPD has confirmed that, at this time, there is no evidence of any gunfire associated with the incident.
Authorities are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the altercation to determine the cause and identify those involved.
As of now, there have been no reports of injuries related to the incident.
In response to the situation, the Tennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT) has temporarily closed both the northbound and southbound exits for Opry Mills (Exit 11 NB and SB) to facilitate the ongoing investigation.

Suspect in custody after shooting at Meridian Mall

MERIDIAN TOWNSHIP, Mich. – Authorities have confirmed that a suspect is in custody following a shooting incident at the Meridian Mall on Friday afternoon.
As a result, the lockdown at the mall has been lifted.
The Meridian Township Police Department issued a public advisory just before 2:00 p.m., urging residents and shoppers to avoid the area near the Dick’s Sporting Goods entrance while officers conducted an active investigation at the scene.
At this time, police have not released specific details regarding the nature of the shooting, including whether anyone was injured or the circumstances surrounding the suspect’s arrest.
Law enforcement officials continue to investigate the incident and are expected to provide additional information as it becomes available.
