17-Year-Old Jordan Morris Killed, Another Teen Critically Injured in Saginaw Shooting
A shooting in Saginaw on Friday afternoon claimed the life of 17-year-old Jordan Morris and left another 17-year-old in critical condition, according to the Saginaw Police Department.
The incident came to light when two gunshot victims arrived at Covenant Hospital by private vehicle shortly after 4 p.m. on Friday, January 31.
Hospital staff immediately alerted law enforcement, prompting officers to respond to the scene and launch an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
Both victims were rushed into the emergency room for urgent medical treatment.
Despite life-saving efforts, Jordan Morris succumbed to his injuries.
The second victim remains in critical condition as of late Friday evening, authorities confirmed.
At this time, no arrests have been made, and investigators are actively working to determine the events leading up to the shooting.
The Saginaw Police Department has not released additional details regarding potential suspects or motives.
This marks Saginaw’s second homicide of the year.

MERIDIAN TOWNSHIP, Mich. – Authorities have confirmed that a suspect is in custody following a shooting incident at the Meridian Mall on Friday afternoon.
As a result, the lockdown at the mall has been lifted.
The Meridian Township Police Department issued a public advisory just before 2:00 p.m., urging residents and shoppers to avoid the area near the Dick’s Sporting Goods entrance while officers conducted an active investigation at the scene.
