North Lubbock murder-suicide victims identified

LUBBOCK, TX – Authorities are investigating a fatal shooting in North Lubbock that resulted in the deaths of two individuals Tuesday night in what appears to be a murder-suicide.
Lubbock police responded to reports of gunfire at a residence in the 700 block of Wabash Street shortly before 9:15 p.m.
Upon arrival, officers discovered three individuals suffering from gunshot wounds.
According to investigators, 33-year-old John Guerrero was found deceased at the scene from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

Authorities believe Guerrero shot 61-year-old Tony Guerrero and 61-year-old Rosa Salazar Guerrero before turning the gun on himself.
Tony Guerrero was also pronounced dead, while Rosa Salazar Guerrero sustained injuries and was transported for medical treatment. Her current condition has not been released.
Preliminary findings suggest the shooting stemmed from a domestic disturbance, though specific details surrounding the events leading up to the violence remain under investigation.
Authorities continue to process evidence and gather witness statements to determine the full circumstances of the incident.

Suspect in custody after shooting at Meridian Mall

MERIDIAN TOWNSHIP, Mich. – Authorities have confirmed that a suspect is in custody following a shooting incident at the Meridian Mall on Friday afternoon.
As a result, the lockdown at the mall has been lifted.
The Meridian Township Police Department issued a public advisory just before 2:00 p.m., urging residents and shoppers to avoid the area near the Dick’s Sporting Goods entrance while officers conducted an active investigation at the scene.
At this time, police have not released specific details regarding the nature of the shooting, including whether anyone was injured or the circumstances surrounding the suspect’s arrest.
Law enforcement officials continue to investigate the incident and are expected to provide additional information as it becomes available.
The public is asked to remain clear of the immediate area to allow for the ongoing investigation.
