17-year-old Enan Brooks arrested in shooting of 14-Year-Old in LaGrange

LaGrange, GA — Authorities have arrested a suspect in connection with the shooting of a 14-year-old boy on McCall Street. Enan Brooks, 17, was apprehended by LaGrange Police Department Detectives on Tuesday evening and has been booked into the Troup County Jail.
The shooting occurred early Monday morning, January 6, 2025.
Officers responded to a residence at 514 McCall Street at approximately 5:00 a.m. following reports of a gunshot victim.
Upon arrival, police discovered a 14-year-old boy suffering from a gunshot wound to the neck.
The victim was immediately transported to a local hospital, where he is receiving treatment for his injuries. His condition has not been disclosed, but police have described the injuries as serious.
Investigators determined that Brooks discharged a firearm during the incident, striking the teenager before fleeing the scene.
After a swift investigation, Detectives located and arrested Brooks at approximately 5:40 p.m. on January 7, 2025.
He has been charged in connection with the shooting and remains in custody at the Troup County Jail. Further details regarding the motive or circumstances leading to the shooting have not been released as the investigation continues.

Suspect in custody after shooting at Meridian Mall

MERIDIAN TOWNSHIP, Mich. – Authorities have confirmed that a suspect is in custody following a shooting incident at the Meridian Mall on Friday afternoon.
As a result, the lockdown at the mall has been lifted.
The Meridian Township Police Department issued a public advisory just before 2:00 p.m., urging residents and shoppers to avoid the area near the Dick’s Sporting Goods entrance while officers conducted an active investigation at the scene.
At this time, police have not released specific details regarding the nature of the shooting, including whether anyone was injured or the circumstances surrounding the suspect’s arrest.
