2 killed in shooting at Cross Lake Apartments on South Lakeshore Drive in Shreveport
The Shreveport Police Department (SPD) is investigating a shooting incident at the Cross Lake Apartments on South Lakeshore Drive late Tuesday night that left two individuals injured and endangered a child inside the complex.
At approximately 10:24 p.m., the Caddo 911 Communications Center received reports of a shooting involving a male and female victim.
Upon arrival, SPD officers discovered the male victim in the parking lot of the apartment complex with severe gunshot wounds.
He was transported by EMS to Ochsner Health Hospital for treatment of life-threatening injuries.
The female victim, who left the scene in a white vehicle, was later located by officers and EMS at the intersection of Corondelet Drive and Curtis Lane. She was also transported to a medical facility for further treatment.
During the shooting, a stray bullet entered a room inside the apartment complex where a baby was present.
Fortunately, no injuries to the child were reported.
SPD has deployed multiple units to the scene to gather evidence and investigate the circumstances surrounding the shooting. Officers are interviewing witnesses and processing the crime scene to identify potential suspects.
Authorities are urging anyone with information related to the incident to come forward to assist in the investigation. Tips can be submitted to the Shreveport Police Department or anonymously through local crime tip hotlines.

MERIDIAN TOWNSHIP, Mich. – Authorities have confirmed that a suspect is in custody following a shooting incident at the Meridian Mall on Friday afternoon.
As a result, the lockdown at the mall has been lifted.
The Meridian Township Police Department issued a public advisory just before 2:00 p.m., urging residents and shoppers to avoid the area near the Dick’s Sporting Goods entrance while officers conducted an active investigation at the scene.
At this time, police have not released specific details regarding the nature of the shooting, including whether anyone was injured or the circumstances surrounding the suspect’s arrest.
