45-year-old Faridah Davis killed in Lockwood Drive shooting, police seek suspects
Houston police released surveillance photos of two men identified as suspects in the shooting.

Houston, Texas – A shooting outside a corner store in northeast Houston on Friday evening claimed the life of 45-year-old Faridah Davis, according to the Houston Police Department.
The incident occurred around 5:45 p.m. at the corner of Lockwood Drive and Rand Street.
Police reports indicate that Davis was seated in a car with her husband and two other family members in the store’s parking lot.
Her husband entered the store, but an employee reportedly asked him to leave.
As he returned to the car and began driving out of the parking lot, an unidentified man opened fire on the vehicle, striking Davis.
The car continued rolling briefly before coming to a stop. The husband exited the vehicle and attempted to flee on foot. At this point, a second unknown suspect fired shots at him, though he was not struck.
The suspects immediately fled the scene on foot.
Davis was rushed to a nearby hospital in critical condition but succumbed to her injuries shortly after.
Fortunately, the two other family members in the vehicle were unharmed.
On Saturday, Houston police released surveillance photos of two men identified as suspects in the shooting.

The senseless act of violence has left Davis’s family and the local community reeling. As the investigation continues, police are working to uncover the motive behind the shooting and ensure the suspects are apprehended.

Suspect in custody after shooting at Meridian Mall

MERIDIAN TOWNSHIP, Mich. – Authorities have confirmed that a suspect is in custody following a shooting incident at the Meridian Mall on Friday afternoon.
As a result, the lockdown at the mall has been lifted.
The Meridian Township Police Department issued a public advisory just before 2:00 p.m., urging residents and shoppers to avoid the area near the Dick’s Sporting Goods entrance while officers conducted an active investigation at the scene.
At this time, police have not released specific details regarding the nature of the shooting, including whether anyone was injured or the circumstances surrounding the suspect’s arrest.
Law enforcement officials continue to investigate the incident and are expected to provide additional information as it becomes available.
The public is asked to remain clear of the immediate area to allow for the ongoing investigation.
