The incident unfolded after the administration received information suggesting the possibility of a weapon on campus.
Swift action was taken, and the student was identified and escorted out of class for questioning.
However, during this process, the student attempted to flee but was immediately detained by administrators and law enforcement officers.
The evidence has been handed over to the Harris County District Attorney’s Office for further action.
The student now faces legal consequences and disciplinary measures as outlined by the Humble ISD Student Code of Conduct. In line with district policies and Texas state law, students found bringing weapons to school face expulsion.

Suspect in custody after shooting at Meridian Mall

MERIDIAN TOWNSHIP, Mich. – Authorities have confirmed that a suspect is in custody following a shooting incident at the Meridian Mall on Friday afternoon.
As a result, the lockdown at the mall has been lifted.
The Meridian Township Police Department issued a public advisory just before 2:00 p.m., urging residents and shoppers to avoid the area near the Dick’s Sporting Goods entrance while officers conducted an active investigation at the scene.
At this time, police have not released specific details regarding the nature of the shooting, including whether anyone was injured or the circumstances surrounding the suspect’s arrest.
