Malachi Young killed after shooting at Tepe Park in Evansville
The suspect in the shooting remains at large.
UPDATE: Two teenagers have been arrested in connection with a fatal shooting that occurred late Tuesday night at Tepe Park in Evansville, Indiana.
17-year-old Lakai Snaden and 16-year-old Santana Cooper have been charged with murder.
Police have obtained video footage that shows the two suspects fleeing the scene after the shooting.
Additionally, surveillance footage captured the suspects and the victim together at Eastland Mall earlier in the day.
The Evansville Police Department is expected to release further details about the incident on Thursday morning.

A fatal shooting occurred late Tuesday night in Evansville, Indiana.
Police responded to a shooting incident at Tepe Park around 10:30 PM.
The victim, identified as Malachi Young, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The suspect in the shooting remains at large.
A second shooting incident was reported in the same area shortly after the first.
The Evansville Police Department is actively investigating both incidents.
MERIDIAN TOWNSHIP, Mich. – Authorities have confirmed that a suspect is in custody following a shooting incident at the Meridian Mall on Friday afternoon.
As a result, the lockdown at the mall has been lifted.
The Meridian Township Police Department issued a public advisory just before 2:00 p.m., urging residents and shoppers to avoid the area near the Dick’s Sporting Goods entrance while officers conducted an active investigation at the scene.
At this time, police have not released specific details regarding the nature of the shooting, including whether anyone was injured or the circumstances surrounding the suspect’s arrest.
Law enforcement officials continue to investigate the incident and are expected to provide additional information as it becomes available.
The public is asked to remain clear of the immediate area to allow for the ongoing investigation.
