41-year-old Travis Thorne killed after shooting in Crowley, suspect Johnus Lambert at large
Police allege that after the fistfight escalated, Lambert shot Thorne multiple times before fleeing the scene in a silver 2011 Nissan Maxima.

Crowley, LA – Authorities are actively searching for a suspect involved in a fatal shooting that occurred on Friday evening, October 18th, in the 600 block of Dejean Circle.
The victim, 41-year-old Travis Trentel Thorne, was found lying on the ground with multiple gunshot wounds.
Despite the efforts of emergency medical responders, Thorne was pronounced dead at the scene.
Crowley police responded to reports of the shooting around 9:30 PM and discovered Thorne had been involved in a physical altercation with 30-year-old Johnus Lambert.
Police allege that after the fistfight escalated, Lambert shot Thorne multiple times before fleeing the scene in a silver 2011 Nissan Maxima.
The public is urged to assist authorities in locating Johnus Lambert.

Suspect in custody after shooting at Meridian Mall

MERIDIAN TOWNSHIP, Mich. – Authorities have confirmed that a suspect is in custody following a shooting incident at the Meridian Mall on Friday afternoon.
As a result, the lockdown at the mall has been lifted.
The Meridian Township Police Department issued a public advisory just before 2:00 p.m., urging residents and shoppers to avoid the area near the Dick’s Sporting Goods entrance while officers conducted an active investigation at the scene.
At this time, police have not released specific details regarding the nature of the shooting, including whether anyone was injured or the circumstances surrounding the suspect’s arrest.
Law enforcement officials continue to investigate the incident and are expected to provide additional information as it becomes available.
The public is asked to remain clear of the immediate area to allow for the ongoing investigation.
