Human skeletal remains found inside burned vehicle at auto storage lot in Spring, Texas

Harris County, Texas (October 9, 2024) – A disturbing discovery was made at an auto storage lot in Spring, Texas, when human remains were found inside a burned vehicle.

The Harris County Sheriff’s Office received a call at approximately 9:42 AM on Tuesday, October 9th, alerting them to the incident.

Deputies responded to the lot located at 20603 Rhodes Road and learned that a burned vehicle had been towed there.

Upon further inspection, skeletal remains believed to be human were discovered within the vehicle.

The vehicle has since been transported to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office storage facility for further processing and investigation.

Authorities are working diligently to identify the deceased individual and determine the circumstances surrounding the tragic event.

Suspect in custody after shooting at Meridian Mall

MERIDIAN TOWNSHIP, Mich. – Authorities have confirmed that a suspect is in custody following a shooting incident at the Meridian Mall on Friday afternoon.

As a result, the lockdown at the mall has been lifted.

The Meridian Township Police Department issued a public advisory just before 2:00 p.m., urging residents and shoppers to avoid the area near the Dick’s Sporting Goods entrance while officers conducted an active investigation at the scene.

At this time, police have not released specific details regarding the nature of the shooting, including whether anyone was injured or the circumstances surrounding the suspect’s arrest.

Law enforcement officials continue to investigate the incident and are expected to provide additional information as it becomes available.

The public is asked to remain clear of the immediate area to allow for the ongoing investigation.
