Lockdown at Lewisville High School lifted, No threat found

UPDATE: Students and staff at Lewisville High School were placed on lockdown Thursday morning following a report of an armed person near the campus. The incident occurred around 9:30 a.m., prompting school officials to implement safety protocols.
After a thorough investigation, authorities determined that there was no immediate threat, and the lockdown was lifted at 10:35 a.m. The school day resumed its normal schedule.
The Lewisville Independent School District advised parents who wished to pick up their children early to park on the north side of the campus and proceed to the auditorium.

Lewisville Police Department is currently investigating a report of an armed subject near Lewisville High School. As a precautionary measure, the school has been placed on lockdown.
While no armed individuals have been sighted, officers are actively searching the area.
Please avoid the area until further notice.
During a lockdown, all classroom doors are secured, and students and staff are instructed to remain quiet and out of sight. All doors will remain locked until law enforcement authorizes their reopening. The campus is currently calm, and students and staff are safe within their classrooms.
To ensure the safety of everyone, please do not attempt to enter or leave the campus at this time. All bus services to and from Lewisville High School have been temporarily suspended.

MERIDIAN TOWNSHIP, Mich. – Authorities have confirmed that a suspect is in custody following a shooting incident at the Meridian Mall on Friday afternoon.
As a result, the lockdown at the mall has been lifted.
The Meridian Township Police Department issued a public advisory just before 2:00 p.m., urging residents and shoppers to avoid the area near the Dick’s Sporting Goods entrance while officers conducted an active investigation at the scene.
At this time, police have not released specific details regarding the nature of the shooting, including whether anyone was injured or the circumstances surrounding the suspect’s arrest.
Law enforcement officials continue to investigate the incident and are expected to provide additional information as it becomes available.
The public is asked to remain clear of the immediate area to allow for the ongoing investigation.
