43-year-old Tatanisha Jackson shot and killed by her 17-year-old son, Davion Pryor

ORIGINAL REPORT: Tatanisha Jackson, 43, was at her home on the 6800 block of Cornell when her 17-year-old son, Davion Pryor, shot her multiple times in the head.

She was pronounced deceased at the scene.

He’s described as a male black, dark complexion, 5’7, 120 Ibs, with a short afro.

Davion was last seen heading north on Stony towards 67th.

He was wearing a white t-shirt, shorts, and a bullet proof vest.

Prior suffer from mental illness and has not been taking his medication. He is considered armed and dangerous.

A 43-year-old woman was fatally shot by a 17-year-old boy in the South Shore neighborhood of Chicago.

The incident occurred around 3:55 PM in the 6800 block of South Cornell. The woman was inside a home when the teen approached her, pulled out a gun, and shot her multiple times.

The assailant then fled the scene.

According to reports, the boy was last seen wearing a bulletproof vest.

A caller reported that his son had shot his wife, and that he, the husband, was still inside with her. The son is currently at large.

The woman was transported to the University of Chicago Medical Center in critical condition after being shot four times in the head. Sadly, she succumbed to her injuries.

A firearm was recovered at the scene, and Chicago police are actively investigating the shooting.

No arrests have been made at this time.

Suspect in custody after shooting at Meridian Mall

MERIDIAN TOWNSHIP, Mich. – Authorities have confirmed that a suspect is in custody following a shooting incident at the Meridian Mall on Friday afternoon.

As a result, the lockdown at the mall has been lifted.

The Meridian Township Police Department issued a public advisory just before 2:00 p.m., urging residents and shoppers to avoid the area near the Dick’s Sporting Goods entrance while officers conducted an active investigation at the scene.

At this time, police have not released specific details regarding the nature of the shooting, including whether anyone was injured or the circumstances surrounding the suspect’s arrest.

Law enforcement officials continue to investigate the incident and are expected to provide additional information as it becomes available.

The public is asked to remain clear of the immediate area to allow for the ongoing investigation.
