Gunfire Erupts Outside Philadelphia Marriott: Denali Struck 30 Times, Driver Grazed in Hip

PHILADELPHIA, PA – A hail of gunfire erupted outside the Courtyard by Marriott hotel on City Avenue near Presidential Boulevard Tuesday evening, striking a Denali SUV approximately 30 times at close range.

The 26-year-old male driver of the vehicle was grazed in the hip during the 5:51 p.m. shooting, but fortunately sustained only minor injuries.

He was treated and has since been released from the hospital, according to authorities.

Philadelphia police recovered more than 40 spent shell casings scattered throughout the hotel’s parking lot, underscoring the intensity of the gunfire.

Investigators say the gunshots were fired from close proximity to the vehicle, but the motive behind the shooting remains under investigation.

No arrests have been made at this time, and police are reviewing surveillance footage and seeking witnesses as part of their ongoing efforts to identify those responsible.

Suspect in custody after shooting at Meridian Mall

MERIDIAN TOWNSHIP, Mich. – Authorities have confirmed that a suspect is in custody following a shooting incident at the Meridian Mall on Friday afternoon.

As a result, the lockdown at the mall has been lifted.

The Meridian Township Police Department issued a public advisory just before 2:00 p.m., urging residents and shoppers to avoid the area near the Dick’s Sporting Goods entrance while officers conducted an active investigation at the scene.

At this time, police have not released specific details regarding the nature of the shooting, including whether anyone was injured or the circumstances surrounding the suspect’s arrest.

Law enforcement officials continue to investigate the incident and are expected to provide additional information as it becomes available.

The public is asked to remain clear of the immediate area to allow for the ongoing investigation.
