At least six people injured after shooting on Potter Drive in Colorado Springs

COLORADO SPRINGS, CO — The Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD) is actively investigating a shooting that left six individuals injured on Saturday night in the 1400 block of Potter Drive, near Mitchell High School.
Officers responded to reports of multiple gunshots shortly before 10 p.m. Upon arrival, they discovered several victims suffering from gunshot wounds.
Four of the victims were transported to nearby hospitals by emergency medical services, while two others sought medical care on their own.
According to CSPD, five victims are currently listed in stable condition, while one remains in critical condition.
Preliminary findings indicate the incident began with a verbal altercation that rapidly escalated into gunfire.
Authorities have not yet confirmed how many individuals discharged weapons, but a large number of shell casings were recovered from the scene, suggesting multiple shooters may have been involved.
The active crime scene stretches across several hundred yards, and CSPD officers and forensic teams are expected to remain on-site through early Sunday morning to collect evidence and interview witnesses.
Witnesses at the scene reported hearing between 40 and 50 gunshots, with some claiming the incident was live-streamed online.
The shooting reportedly broke out near the intersection of Potter Drive and Palmer Park Boulevard.
Social media posts and photographs circulating online suggest that the violence may have stemmed from a personal feud or dispute, although police have not officially confirmed a motive.


As of now, no suspects have been identified or taken into custody.

Suspect in custody after shooting at Meridian Mall

MERIDIAN TOWNSHIP, Mich. – Authorities have confirmed that a suspect is in custody following a shooting incident at the Meridian Mall on Friday afternoon.
As a result, the lockdown at the mall has been lifted.
The Meridian Township Police Department issued a public advisory just before 2:00 p.m., urging residents and shoppers to avoid the area near the Dick’s Sporting Goods entrance while officers conducted an active investigation at the scene.
At this time, police have not released specific details regarding the nature of the shooting, including whether anyone was injured or the circumstances surrounding the suspect’s arrest.
Law enforcement officials continue to investigate the incident and are expected to provide additional information as it becomes available.
