North Hollywood Officer-Involved Shooting: Suspect Shot by Police After Stabbing Woman

Authorities in Los Angeles are investigating a violent incident that occurred in North Hollywood on Tuesday involving a stabbing and an officer-involved shooting.

The confrontation took place in the 7800 block of Beck Avenue, where a male suspect was shot by police after allegedly attacking a woman with a knife.

According to initial reports from law enforcement, officers responded to an emergency call regarding a man actively assaulting a female with a knife.

Upon arrival at 7845 Beck Avenue, officers observed the suspect repeatedly stabbing the woman in the chest.

In an effort to stop the assault and prevent further harm to the victim, officers opened fire on the suspect, striking him multiple times.

The male suspect was pronounced down at the scene with multiple gunshot wounds. His condition has not been formally released.

The female victim sustained multiple stab wounds to the chest and was quickly transported to a local hospital by paramedics.

Her current condition is reported as serious, but no further updates have been provided at this time.

The Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) has launched a full investigation into the incident.

As is standard protocol in all officer-involved shootings, the LAPD’s Force Investigation Division will conduct a thorough review.

The Civilian Office of Police Accountability (COPA) has also been notified.

Authorities have not yet released the identities of either the suspect or the victim.

The public is urged to avoid the area as the investigation remains active.

Suspect in custody after shooting at Meridian Mall

MERIDIAN TOWNSHIP, Mich. – Authorities have confirmed that a suspect is in custody following a shooting incident at the Meridian Mall on Friday afternoon.

As a result, the lockdown at the mall has been lifted.

The Meridian Township Police Department issued a public advisory just before 2:00 p.m., urging residents and shoppers to avoid the area near the Dick’s Sporting Goods entrance while officers conducted an active investigation at the scene.

At this time, police have not released specific details regarding the nature of the shooting, including whether anyone was injured or the circumstances surrounding the suspect’s arrest.

Law enforcement officials continue to investigate the incident and are expected to provide additional information as it becomes available.

The public is asked to remain clear of the immediate area to allow for the ongoing investigation.
