Suspect injured in officer-involved shooting on Buxley Street in Central Southwest Houston

HOUSTON, TX — The Houston Police Department (HPD) is currently investigating an officer-involved shooting that occurred near the 14000 block of Buxley Street in Central Southwest Houston.

According to preliminary information, the incident unfolded during a traffic stop when a suspect reportedly opened fire on HPD officers.

In response, officers returned fire, striking the suspect.

The individual was immediately rendered aid at the scene and subsequently transported to a nearby hospital for medical treatment.

The suspect’s current condition has not yet been disclosed.

No officers were injured during the exchange of gunfire.

HPD Public Information Officers and command staff are en route to the scene and are expected to provide further details during a media briefing.

Suspect in custody after shooting at Meridian Mall

MERIDIAN TOWNSHIP, Mich. – Authorities have confirmed that a suspect is in custody following a shooting incident at the Meridian Mall on Friday afternoon.

As a result, the lockdown at the mall has been lifted.

The Meridian Township Police Department issued a public advisory just before 2:00 p.m., urging residents and shoppers to avoid the area near the Dick’s Sporting Goods entrance while officers conducted an active investigation at the scene.

At this time, police have not released specific details regarding the nature of the shooting, including whether anyone was injured or the circumstances surrounding the suspect’s arrest.

Law enforcement officials continue to investigate the incident and are expected to provide additional information as it becomes available.
