Creg Solomon killed in Kentwood shooting

KENTWOOD, LA – The Kentwood Police Department is investigating a fatal shooting that occurred Wednesday morning in the 700 block of Ida Temple Street.
Officers were dispatched to the area shortly after 10:30 a.m. in response to reports of gunfire.
Upon arrival, they located a male victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
The victim, identified as Creg Solomon, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Authorities have not yet determined a motive for the shooting.
Investigators are currently interviewing witnesses and gathering evidence in an effort to piece together the events that led to the deadly incident.
The Kentwood Police Department is urging anyone with information related to this case to come forward.

Suspect in custody after shooting at Meridian Mall

MERIDIAN TOWNSHIP, Mich. – Authorities have confirmed that a suspect is in custody following a shooting incident at the Meridian Mall on Friday afternoon.
As a result, the lockdown at the mall has been lifted.
The Meridian Township Police Department issued a public advisory just before 2:00 p.m., urging residents and shoppers to avoid the area near the Dick’s Sporting Goods entrance while officers conducted an active investigation at the scene.
At this time, police have not released specific details regarding the nature of the shooting, including whether anyone was injured or the circumstances surrounding the suspect’s arrest.
Law enforcement officials continue to investigate the incident and are expected to provide additional information as it becomes available.
