Police investigating apparent murder-suicide at Axis Apartments in Nashville

NASHVILLE, Tenn. — The Metropolitan Nashville Police Department is investigating a tragic incident believed to be a murder-suicide that occurred Monday afternoon at the Axis Apartments, located on Glengarry Drive.
Officers responded to the complex shortly before 4:00 p.m. after receiving an emergency call.
Upon arrival, authorities discovered the bodies of a man and a woman inside an apartment unit.
Both individuals had sustained fatal gunshot wounds and were pronounced dead at the scene.
While detectives are treating the case as a domestic-related murder-suicide, the exact circumstances and motive remain under investigation.

Suspect in custody after shooting at Meridian Mall

MERIDIAN TOWNSHIP, Mich. – Authorities have confirmed that a suspect is in custody following a shooting incident at the Meridian Mall on Friday afternoon.
As a result, the lockdown at the mall has been lifted.
The Meridian Township Police Department issued a public advisory just before 2:00 p.m., urging residents and shoppers to avoid the area near the Dick’s Sporting Goods entrance while officers conducted an active investigation at the scene.
At this time, police have not released specific details regarding the nature of the shooting, including whether anyone was injured or the circumstances surrounding the suspect’s arrest.
