Two Dead, Two Injured in Kansas City Shooting, One Victim Identified
The Kansas City, Kansas Police Department (KCKPD) has identified Delorean Jackson as one of the two individuals killed during a shooting on the evening of Saturday, April 5, 2025.
The incident occurred near an apartment complex in the 800 block of North 70th Terrace around 9:00 p.m.
According to authorities, officers were dispatched to the scene following reports of gunfire.
Upon arrival, they located two adult male victims outside the complex suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.
Both were pronounced deceased at the scene.
In addition to the fatalities, two other individuals were struck by gunfire during the incident.
They were transported to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Their identities and current conditions have not been publicly disclosed.
The KCKPD Major Case Unit has assumed control of the investigation.
At this time, no arrests have been made, and police have not released information regarding potential suspects or a motive.

Suspect in custody after shooting at Meridian Mall
MERIDIAN TOWNSHIP, Mich. – Authorities have confirmed that a suspect is in custody following a shooting incident at the Meridian Mall on Friday afternoon.
As a result, the lockdown at the mall has been lifted.
The Meridian Township Police Department issued a public advisory just before 2:00 p.m., urging residents and shoppers to avoid the area near the Dick’s Sporting Goods entrance while officers conducted an active investigation at the scene.
At this time, police have not released specific details regarding the nature of the shooting, including whether anyone was injured or the circumstances surrounding the suspect’s arrest.
Law enforcement officials continue to investigate the incident and are expected to provide additional information as it becomes available.
