Fort Lauderdale Police Investigate Possible Domestic Shooting on Twin Lakes Boulevard That Left Two Dead, One Injured
FORT LAUDERDALE, FL — Authorities are investigating a violent shooting incident in the 4500 block of Twin Lakes Boulevard that has left two people dead and one critically injured in what is believed to be a domestic-related situation.
The incident began when a neighbor reported hearing gunshots and someone screaming for help, urging others to call 911.
Fort Lauderdale Police units responded immediately to the scene, with a law enforcement helicopter diverting from a separate incident to assist.
Upon arrival, officers discovered two individuals in the front yard, both suffering from gunshot wounds and displaying agonal breathing—a sign of critical distress. One victim had sustained a gunshot wound to the head.
As officers secured the perimeter, they prepared to clear the residence.
EMS staged nearby until it was deemed safe to enter.
A third gunshot victim was located inside the home, still alive but gravely wounded.
Given the severity of the situation, on-duty SWAT units were requested to support the response, and a secure perimeter was established around the property.
Once the scene was cleared, EMS crews entered and began triage and transport.
Of the three victims:
- One was pronounced dead at the scene.
- A second victim was transported to Broward General Hospital, where they were later pronounced dead.
- The third victim was rushed into emergency surgery and is currently in “grave condition,” according to authorities.
Three ambulances were requested to the scene to assist in transporting the victims.
As of now, Fort Lauderdale Police have not confirmed a motive or stated whether a suspect is in custody.
