Emergency Response Underway Following Sur La Table Warehouse Collapse in Brownsburg
Emergency crews are responding to a major structural collapse at the Sur La Table warehouse, located at 901 E Northfield Drive in Brownsburg, Indiana.
The incident has resulted in at least one person being unaccounted for beneath a large pile of concrete debris, prompting an urgent search-and-rescue operation.
Authorities have confirmed live victims trapped beneath the collapsed structure, with reports indicating that individuals are calling for help from beneath the debris.
A woman who was trapped inside, but she has been freed.
Given the severity of the situation, emergency responders have upgraded the incident to a working rescue and are deploying additional resources to aid in extrication efforts.
Due to the complexity of the collapse, officials have requested the assistance of the Marion County Collapse Team, a highly trained unit specializing in technical rescues involving heavy debris.
This team will utilize specialized equipment and expertise to carefully navigate the unstable structure and safely extract any trapped individuals.
Firefighters, paramedics, and structural engineers are currently assessing the integrity of the remaining structure while working swiftly to locate and rescue those still trapped.
The cause of the collapse has not yet been determined, and authorities have not confirmed how many individuals were inside the building at the time of the incident.

Deputy Jensen was found deceased earlier this evening after he did not report for his scheduled shift.
Deputy Jensen was more than a colleague—he was a cherished brother in uniform, a trusted protector of the community, and a steadfast public servant whose presence will be sorely missed by all who had the privilege of working alongside him.
Carl’s journey into law enforcement was driven by a passion to protect those who could not protect themselves.
After completing college, he began his career with Adult Protective Services, investigating allegations of abuse and exploitation in state hospitals, group homes, and home health care settings.
It was during one such case—uncovering the truth behind a complex exploitation investigation—that Carl realized his calling. “I got bit by the law enforcement bug that day,” he once said. “I wanted to help protect and bring justice to those who need it.”
Throughout his career, Deputy Jensen demonstrated extraordinary empathy, integrity, and resilience. He often reflected on the emotional weight of his work, especially when responding to calls on what could be the most difficult days in people’s lives.
“Sometimes, people don’t realize that we’re there to help everyone involved,” he shared. “Even on what could be their worst day, I can do my best to make it better—or at least keep them calm.” His compassion and humanity set an example for us all.
