20-year-old Syncere Lindsay Killed in Brockton Shooting

BROCKTON, MA – Authorities have identified the victim of a fatal shooting that occurred in the early hours of Friday, March 28, as 20-year-old Syncere Lindsay of Brockton, according to the Plymouth County District Attorney’s Office.

Brockton police responded to reports of a shooting shortly after 3:30 a.m. and discovered Lindsay lying face down on the sidewalk outside 88 Lenox Street with a gunshot wound.

He was transported to Good Samaritan Medical Center, where he was later pronounced dead.

Investigators are also reviewing a 911 call received shortly before the shooting, in which a caller reported a man attempting to open car doors along Monson Street.

Authorities have not yet determined whether this incident is connected to Lindsay’s death.

The investigation remains active, and officials urge anyone with information to contact Brockton Police or the Plymouth County District Attorney’s Office.

Suspect in custody after shooting at Meridian Mall

MERIDIAN TOWNSHIP, Mich. – Authorities have confirmed that a suspect is in custody following a shooting incident at the Meridian Mall on Friday afternoon.

As a result, the lockdown at the mall has been lifted.

The Meridian Township Police Department issued a public advisory just before 2:00 p.m., urging residents and shoppers to avoid the area near the Dick’s Sporting Goods entrance while officers conducted an active investigation at the scene.

At this time, police have not released specific details regarding the nature of the shooting, including whether anyone was injured or the circumstances surrounding the suspect’s arrest.

Law enforcement officials continue to investigate the incident and are expected to provide additional information as it becomes available.

The public is asked to remain clear of the immediate area to allow for the ongoing investigation.
