Demetria Spence Arrested for Making False 911 Call Linked to Events Leading to Rapper Young Scooter’s Death

Atlanta Police have announced an arrest in connection with the 911 call that led officers to a residence in southeast Atlanta, where they encountered Kenneth Bailey, widely known as rapper Young Scooter.
According to the Atlanta Police Department (APD), 31-year-old Demetria Spence has been taken into custody and charged with Transmitting a False Public Alarm under O.C.G.A. 16-10-28, subsection (d)(2), which applies when serious bodily harm or death results from a public safety agency’s response.
Spence is currently being processed by the Fulton County Sheriff’s Office.
Additionally, the Fulton County Medical Examiner’s Office has released its official autopsy report, ruling Bailey’s death as an accident.
The report states that he sustained fatal injuries after cutting his leg on a wooden fence while attempting to flee from APD officers on Friday.
The incident took place at a residence on William Nye Drive in the Lakewood neighborhood.

Suspect in custody after shooting at Meridian Mall

MERIDIAN TOWNSHIP, Mich. – Authorities have confirmed that a suspect is in custody following a shooting incident at the Meridian Mall on Friday afternoon.
As a result, the lockdown at the mall has been lifted.
The Meridian Township Police Department issued a public advisory just before 2:00 p.m., urging residents and shoppers to avoid the area near the Dick’s Sporting Goods entrance while officers conducted an active investigation at the scene.
At this time, police have not released specific details regarding the nature of the shooting, including whether anyone was injured or the circumstances surrounding the suspect’s arrest.
Law enforcement officials continue to investigate the incident and are expected to provide additional information as it becomes available.
The public is asked to remain clear of the immediate area to allow for the ongoing investigation.
