Marysville Police Officer Killed in Olivehurst Shooting During Search Warrant Operation

A Marysville police officer has died after being shot Wednesday morning while executing a search warrant in Olivehurst, officials confirmed.

The suspect involved in the shooting is also deceased.

The incident occurred around 7:50 a.m. on Kestrel Court, where multiple law enforcement agencies were conducting a warrant operation.

During the execution of the warrant, an officer was shot under circumstances that remain under investigation.

Authorities have not yet disclosed details on what led to the shooting.

The officer was transported to a hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.

In honor of the fallen officer, law enforcement personnel are driving through downtown Marysville with their sirens and emergency lights activated.

California Assemblymember James Gallagher addressed the tragedy on social media, stating, “Our hearts and our prayers are with this young officer’s family and our local law enforcement family.”

The Yuba County Sheriff’s Office has confirmed that there is no ongoing threat to public safety and has advised residents to avoid the area as the investigation continues.

Suspect in custody after shooting at Meridian Mall

MERIDIAN TOWNSHIP, Mich. – Authorities have confirmed that a suspect is in custody following a shooting incident at the Meridian Mall on Friday afternoon.

As a result, the lockdown at the mall has been lifted.

The Meridian Township Police Department issued a public advisory just before 2:00 p.m., urging residents and shoppers to avoid the area near the Dick’s Sporting Goods entrance while officers conducted an active investigation at the scene.

At this time, police have not released specific details regarding the nature of the shooting, including whether anyone was injured or the circumstances surrounding the suspect’s arrest.

Law enforcement officials continue to investigate the incident and are expected to provide additional information as it becomes available.

The public is asked to remain clear of the immediate area to allow for the ongoing investigation.
