Martin County Sheriff’s Office Investigating Domestic Shooting in Truman, Suspect at Large
Truman, MN – The Martin County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) is actively investigating a domestic-related shooting that occurred in the city of Truman on February 27, 2025, at approximately 6:14 p.m.
Deputies responded to a domestic assault report where an adult female victim had sustained a gunshot wound to the chest from a pistol.
Emergency medical personnel transported the victim to a hospital for treatment. Her condition has not yet been disclosed.
Authorities have identified the suspect as Kyle Jonathan Liford (DOB: 08/31/1992).
He is believed to be operating a green 2002 Chevrolet Tahoe with Minnesota license plate NVU 782.
At this time, Liford’s whereabouts remain unknown.
Law enforcement urges anyone with information regarding his location to contact the Martin County Sheriff’s Office at (507) 238-4481.
Deputies secured a firearm at the scene as part of the ongoing investigation.
Based on preliminary findings, this appears to be an isolated incident, and there is no known threat to the public at this time.

MERIDIAN TOWNSHIP, Mich. – Authorities have confirmed that a suspect is in custody following a shooting incident at the Meridian Mall on Friday afternoon.
As a result, the lockdown at the mall has been lifted.
The Meridian Township Police Department issued a public advisory just before 2:00 p.m., urging residents and shoppers to avoid the area near the Dick’s Sporting Goods entrance while officers conducted an active investigation at the scene.
At this time, police have not released specific details regarding the nature of the shooting, including whether anyone was injured or the circumstances surrounding the suspect’s arrest.
Law enforcement officials continue to investigate the incident and are expected to provide additional information as it becomes available.
