Multiple People Injured in Shooting at Old Dominion University, Suspect at Large
Norfolk, VA – A shooting incident on the campus of Old Dominion University (ODU) Wednesday night has left two individuals with life-threatening injuries, prompting an active investigation by both university and Norfolk police.
According to an ODU Urgent Alert, law enforcement responded to reports of gunfire in the 1400 block of West 49th Street, near Broderick Dining Commons.
The emergency call was received around 9:40 p.m., and first responders arrived to find two gunshot victims.
CPR was in progress on a female victim, as authorities worked to provide emergency medical assistance.
Both victims were transported to a local hospital for treatment, and their current conditions remain undisclosed.
Meanwhile, authorities have confirmed that the suspect remains at large.
ODU Police have issued a safety advisory urging students, faculty, and residents in the area to remain indoors while the investigation continues.
Law enforcement officers from both Old Dominion University Police and Norfolk Police Department are actively working the scene.

MERIDIAN TOWNSHIP, Mich. – Authorities have confirmed that a suspect is in custody following a shooting incident at the Meridian Mall on Friday afternoon.
As a result, the lockdown at the mall has been lifted.
