Teen killed in targeted shooting at an apartment complex in midtown Tulsa
The suspects knew the victim was inside the apartment and shot him through a window.
Tulsa, OK – Authorities are investigating a deadly shooting that occurred early Saturday morning at an apartment complex in midtown Tulsa, near 51st Street and Yale Avenue.
According to the Tulsa Police Department (TPD), officers responded to reports of gunfire at the complex and discovered a 17-year-old victim who had been fatally shot.
Investigators believe the shooting was targeted, as the suspects were reportedly aware of the victim’s presence inside the apartment and fired through a window.
At the time of the incident, the victim’s mother and two juvenile witnesses were also inside the apartment.
Authorities have not released their identities but confirmed they were unharmed.
As of Saturday, no arrests have been made, but police are searching for up to three suspects believed to be involved in the shooting.
Law enforcement officials are actively gathering evidence and reviewing surveillance footage to identify those responsible.

MERIDIAN TOWNSHIP, Mich. – Authorities have confirmed that a suspect is in custody following a shooting incident at the Meridian Mall on Friday afternoon.
As a result, the lockdown at the mall has been lifted.
The Meridian Township Police Department issued a public advisory just before 2:00 p.m., urging residents and shoppers to avoid the area near the Dick’s Sporting Goods entrance while officers conducted an active investigation at the scene.
