Montgomery County Man Killed in Head-On Collision on Alabama 126

Montgomery County, AL – A 28-year-old Montgomery man lost his life in a head-on collision Thursday night in Montgomery County, according to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA).
Authorities identified the victim as Joseph R. Miller.
The crash occurred at approximately 6:50 p.m. on Alabama 126, about two miles east of Montgomery.
According to ALEA Lt. Jeremy Burkett, Miller was operating a Dodge Charger when it was involved in a head-on collision with a Mercedes-Benz GLK 350 driven by 20-year-old Matthew Neely of North Carolina.
Miller suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Alabama State Troopers are actively investigating the crash, and no additional details have been released at this time.

Suspect in custody after shooting at Meridian Mall

MERIDIAN TOWNSHIP, Mich. – Authorities have confirmed that a suspect is in custody following a shooting incident at the Meridian Mall on Friday afternoon.
As a result, the lockdown at the mall has been lifted.
The Meridian Township Police Department issued a public advisory just before 2:00 p.m., urging residents and shoppers to avoid the area near the Dick’s Sporting Goods entrance while officers conducted an active investigation at the scene.
At this time, police have not released specific details regarding the nature of the shooting, including whether anyone was injured or the circumstances surrounding the suspect’s arrest.
Law enforcement officials continue to investigate the incident and are expected to provide additional information as it becomes available.
The public is asked to remain clear of the immediate area to allow for the ongoing investigation.
