Jacksonville Man Fatally Shot Following Traffic Crash, Suspect Detained

Jacksonville, TX – A 33-year-old man was shot and killed late Thursday night following a traffic accident near the intersection of Myrtle Drive and Sam Boles Road, according to the Jacksonville Police Department (JPD).
Authorities responded to the scene at approximately 11:52 p.m., where they discovered a vehicle occupant, identified as Angel Balderas, suffering from a single gunshot wound.
Emergency responders transported Balderas to a nearby hospital, where he was later pronounced deceased.
Police confirmed that the shooter was detained and questioned at the Jacksonville Police Department, but no charges have been filed at this time.

Suspect in custody after shooting at Meridian Mall

MERIDIAN TOWNSHIP, Mich. – Authorities have confirmed that a suspect is in custody following a shooting incident at the Meridian Mall on Friday afternoon.
As a result, the lockdown at the mall has been lifted.
The Meridian Township Police Department issued a public advisory just before 2:00 p.m., urging residents and shoppers to avoid the area near the Dick’s Sporting Goods entrance while officers conducted an active investigation at the scene.
At this time, police have not released specific details regarding the nature of the shooting, including whether anyone was injured or the circumstances surrounding the suspect’s arrest.
