Chesapeake, VA – Authorities are investigating a fatal shooting that occurred Monday night in Chesapeake, leaving one woman dead and a second victim injured.According to the Chesapeake Police Department, officers were dispatched to the 2900 block of Parkside Drive, near Campostella Square Park, shortly before 8 p.m. following reports of gunfire in the area.

According to the Chesapeake Police Department, officers were dispatched to the 2900 block of Parkside Drive, near Campostella Square Park, shortly before 8 p.m. following reports of gunfire in the area.

Upon arrival, officers discovered Gabrielle Leigh Kelly suffering from gunshot wounds.

She was immediately transported to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries, but succumbed to her wounds a short time later.

A second victim, identified as an adult male, was later located at a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Authorities have not disclosed his identity or the circumstances under which he arrived at the hospital.

The Chesapeake Police Department has classified the case as an active investigation and is working to identify the suspect(s) involved in the shooting.

No arrests have been made, and authorities are urging anyone with information to come forward.

Suspect in custody after shooting at Meridian Mall

MERIDIAN TOWNSHIP, Mich. – Authorities have confirmed that a suspect is in custody following a shooting incident at the Meridian Mall on Friday afternoon.

As a result, the lockdown at the mall has been lifted.

The Meridian Township Police Department issued a public advisory just before 2:00 p.m., urging residents and shoppers to avoid the area near the Dick’s Sporting Goods entrance while officers conducted an active investigation at the scene.

At this time, police have not released specific details regarding the nature of the shooting, including whether anyone was injured or the circumstances surrounding the suspect’s arrest.

Law enforcement officials continue to investigate the incident and are expected to provide additional information as it becomes available.

The public is asked to remain clear of the immediate area to allow for the ongoing investigation.
