Person shot and killed at Union Station on Massachusetts Avenue NE, Washington
Washington, D.C. – Law enforcement agencies, including the U.S. Capitol Police (USCP) and Metropolitan Police Department (MPD), are actively investigating a fatal shooting that occurred at Union Station on Massachusetts Avenue NE.
Officers responded to reports of gunfire near the Union Station escalators.
Upon arrival, they discovered a victim suffering from a gunshot wound.
Emergency medical personnel were dispatched to the scene, but the individual was pronounced deceased.
Authorities have established a secure perimeter around the area while investigators process the scene and gather evidence.
U.S. Capitol staff and other personnel have been advised to avoid the vicinity while the investigation remains active.

MERIDIAN TOWNSHIP, Mich. – Authorities have confirmed that a suspect is in custody following a shooting incident at the Meridian Mall on Friday afternoon.
As a result, the lockdown at the mall has been lifted.
The Meridian Township Police Department issued a public advisory just before 2:00 p.m., urging residents and shoppers to avoid the area near the Dick’s Sporting Goods entrance while officers conducted an active investigation at the scene.
