Montgomery Police Identify Teen Killed in Weekend Double Shooting
MONTGOMERY, AL — Authorities have identified the teenager who was fatally shot during a double shooting over the weekend as 17-year-old Jekobi Douglas of Montgomery.
Officers with the Montgomery Police Department (MPD) and emergency medical personnel responded to reports of a shooting at approximately 8:25 p.m. on Saturday, February 3, in the 1200 block of Eastern Boulevard, near Interstate 85 and Carmichael Road.
Upon arrival, first responders located two male victims. Jekobi Douglas was pronounced dead at the scene due to gunshot wounds.
A second victim, an adult male whose identity has not yet been released, was transported to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries.
No updates on his condition have been provided as of Monday.
Investigators are working to determine the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
At this time, no suspects are in custody, and no motive has been established.

MERIDIAN TOWNSHIP, Mich. – Authorities have confirmed that a suspect is in custody following a shooting incident at the Meridian Mall on Friday afternoon.
As a result, the lockdown at the mall has been lifted.
The Meridian Township Police Department issued a public advisory just before 2:00 p.m., urging residents and shoppers to avoid the area near the Dick’s Sporting Goods entrance while officers conducted an active investigation at the scene.
