18-Year-Old Male Fatally Shot on Dustin Court in Killeen, Suspect in Custody

KILLEEN, TX – An 18-year-old male has died following a fatal shooting that occurred Thursday evening on Dustin Court, according to the Killeen Police Department.
Officers responded to the scene and discovered the victim suffering from a gunshot wound. Immediate life-saving measures were administered by officers until paramedics arrived.
Despite their efforts, the victim was transported to a local hospital where he was later pronounced deceased at 6:31 p.m.
Authorities have not yet released the victim’s identity, pending notification of his next of kin.
Police confirmed that a 20-year-old male suspect has been taken into custody in connection with the shooting.
He is currently being held at the Killeen City Jail as formal charges are being prepared.
Officials have assured the public that this appears to be an isolated incident, and there is no ongoing threat to the community.

Suspect in custody after shooting at Meridian Mall

MERIDIAN TOWNSHIP, Mich. – Authorities have confirmed that a suspect is in custody following a shooting incident at the Meridian Mall on Friday afternoon.
As a result, the lockdown at the mall has been lifted.
The Meridian Township Police Department issued a public advisory just before 2:00 p.m., urging residents and shoppers to avoid the area near the Dick’s Sporting Goods entrance while officers conducted an active investigation at the scene.
At this time, police have not released specific details regarding the nature of the shooting, including whether anyone was injured or the circumstances surrounding the suspect’s arrest.
