Authorities Identify Victims in Triple Homicide Investigation in Berkeley County

Cross, SC — The Berkeley County Coroner’s Office has officially identified the three victims who were fatally shot in a tragic incident that occurred Monday afternoon in the Cross community.
Deputies from the Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office responded to a residence on Poplar Hill Drive at approximately 2:49 p.m., where they discovered three individuals deceased from apparent gunshot wounds.
The victims have been identified as:
- Thomas Williams, 56, of Ridgeville
- Torrionda Taylor, 46, of Cross
- Marsena Moore, 55, of Summerville
Berkeley County Coroner Darnell Hartwell confirmed the victims’ identities and stated that autopsies have been scheduled to further determine the exact cause and manner of death.
The incident is currently being investigated as a triple homicide by both the Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office and the coroner’s office.

Suspect in custody after shooting at Meridian Mall

MERIDIAN TOWNSHIP, Mich. – Authorities have confirmed that a suspect is in custody following a shooting incident at the Meridian Mall on Friday afternoon.
As a result, the lockdown at the mall has been lifted.
The Meridian Township Police Department issued a public advisory just before 2:00 p.m., urging residents and shoppers to avoid the area near the Dick’s Sporting Goods entrance while officers conducted an active investigation at the scene.
At this time, police have not released specific details regarding the nature of the shooting, including whether anyone was injured or the circumstances surrounding the suspect’s arrest.
Law enforcement officials continue to investigate the incident and are expected to provide additional information as it becomes available.
