Man Succumbs to Injuries Following Weekend Shooting at Jackson Morningside Terrace Apartments

Jackson, MS — A man who was critically injured in a weekend shooting at a Jackson apartment complex has died, authorities confirmed.
Bailey Martin, spokesperson for the Mississippi Department of Public Safety, identified the victim as 23-year-old Tavoris Youngblood.
The fatal shooting occurred on Saturday afternoon at the Morningside Terrace Apartments in the Belhaven neighborhood.
Upon arrival, Capitol Police officers discovered Youngblood suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
Emergency responders transported him to a nearby hospital, where he was initially listed in critical condition. Despite medical efforts, Youngblood later succumbed to his injuries.
As of now, no arrests have been made in connection with the incident.
Capitol Police have launched an investigation and are working to determine the circumstances leading up to the shooting.

Suspect in custody after shooting at Meridian Mall

MERIDIAN TOWNSHIP, Mich. – Authorities have confirmed that a suspect is in custody following a shooting incident at the Meridian Mall on Friday afternoon.
As a result, the lockdown at the mall has been lifted.
The Meridian Township Police Department issued a public advisory just before 2:00 p.m., urging residents and shoppers to avoid the area near the Dick’s Sporting Goods entrance while officers conducted an active investigation at the scene.
